Introductory Session (15 to 20 min) upon initial inquiry – NO FEE
This is an opportunity to learn about our services and ask questions.
Adoption Consultation: $250 + HST
Adoption Homestudy
Couple: $3500.00 + HST
Single: $3000.00 + HST
Adoption Homestudy Update: Range is approximately $1000.00 to $2000.00
NOTE: Homestudy Updates are required as follows:
- When your homestudy report is 2 years old
- If there is a change of applicant circumstances (move, job, illness, marital status)
- For a change of recommendation – e.g. change to older child, or from single child to siblings, etc
- For a change in the type of adoption (e.g. private to international, international to domestic, private to public, or vice versa)
Birth Parent Counselling – $150 to $195/hr
Child Proposal & Presentation – $150/hr + HST
Post Placement Supervision & Report – $1500 + HST
International Post Adoption Visits & Report – $150/hr
Post Adoption Counselling – $150 to $195/hr
Adoption Reunion Counselling – $150 to $195/hr
Travel time – $50/hr
Mileage – CRA rate for 2023 is $0.68 per kilometre
Claiming Adoption Expenses:
- Adoption Expense Tax Credit: You can claim certain adoption expenses on your income tax when an adoption order is issued. The maximum claim per child stands at $17,131.00. For details on eligible expenses and how to file, visit www.canada.ca.
- Your benefits plan may help to cover our fees as Registered Social Workers. Check your Employee Benefit Program.
